Our weekend!

We went to the races again this weekend..(fyi many of my posts this summer will start with this sentence..) And, again, we had a lot of fun! We left our camp trailer up there last weekend, this just made sense since we were going there again, the camp ground is super nice, with hookups and right next to the track so it's nice to be able to go back and forth if we need to. Gracie met new friends, like always, and she really liked to share her ice cream with her brother!

Shad had a pretty good weekend, he won on his dad's horse Prince, we were excited, and Gracie was so excited to get in the win picture, I will post it when we get it back. He was tired, and sore because he rode in every race, but he loved every minute of it! I don't think that there are many times that he doesn't come home with some sort of injury, if it isn't a broken bone, which has only happened once thank goodness, then it is a sore knee from hitting the gates or a sore foot from hitting into something or someone, I must say the money they get paid isn't really worth all the injuries..to me, but to him it is, and he was blinded by all of his injuries and pain yesterday when he ran a very close 2nd (by a nose) in the Rocky Mountain Futurity where they ran for $31,000.00 (fyi he only gets a percentage of that) but he honestly could care less! He loves to ride and do well! We were so excited for him!
