Our weekend!

This weekend we went to Boise with Shad's parents, and Todd and Janet Williams. We had to gate a few horses so they can run in a couple weeks. The trip started kinda bad because as I was getting things ready I set my jacket that Bev just got me for my b-day on my stove and then I thought I better boil some water for Acen's bottles for the ride and accidently turned on the wrong burner and came back in to find my coat on fire! Luckily we didnt burn down the house, but sadly the jacket isnt doing so good... So after that we finished loading the car, FYI we decided we need a bigger one, and off we went! I was nervous about how the ride would go because Acen hasn't been in the car this long before other than when he was 1 week old and we went to Idaho Falls, but he was so little he just slept the whole time, but he did sooooo good! He slept the first half, then we stopped for lunch he woke up and ate and slept the rest of the way. Gracie had a harder time, since she broke her portable dvd player she was forced to sing many songs, count semi's, bridges and find letters.. Finally on the 100th "are we there yet?!" we made it! She was so excited once we got to the Hotel the first thing she wanted to do is go swimming, but we had to hurry and unload our things and head to the track to help get the stalls ready for the horses and unload all of them. It was so warm the first day, Gracie ran around and Acen enjoyed sitting in her little chair. Then we headed to dinner and finally back to the room where Gracie was half undressed by the time we got there and into her swimsuit. We knew we couldn't put this off any longer so we all went swimming. It was so fun, and the pool was heated so Acen got to swim too! He loved it! He was screaming and squealing, and splashing, he loved to watch everyone else too! The next day was so cold, so the kids and I hung out in the room and Shad went to the track, when he got back we went to lunch and did a little shopping, then swam most of the afternoon, the kids were so tired the had a very long nap then we met up with everyone else for dinner. Then back to the room to watch the Jazz game, and to bed! Then we headed home this afternoon. We didnt do much since the weather was so bad, but it was nice to get out of the house and relax a little bit! We had a lot of fun!

Becky, about you last post. I totally understand and I am so sorry you too have a child like that. While I look at her and wish I had her outgoing nature and her love of everyone mine drives me crazy!! Just Sat. we had 4 major episodes. One she fell of a rock wall waiting for Nate to help her up-she climbed herself and jumped down, she got lost in Wal-mart, almost got hit by a truck and ran into the road and hid behind my husbands work truck. My nerves were shot!! If you get any tips-let me know. I do have a few personality books that help if you want to read them or if you want to know what they are, it's the not minding I'm struggling with.
