So I woke up this morning and was in a cleaning mood..which only happens about once a week. So today was the day I was going to do a good deep clean. Well I am cleaning along enjoying myself, all is going well and then I opened the door to the playroom.......Now this room has a door for a reason. We don't clean it too often, it's just pointless, but every once and a while I go in to pick up and vacuum..and sense Acen is cruising around I am trying to keep little toys picked up and the floors cleaned up, so we have talked with Gracie about keeping all her toys in the playroom and not all over the house, well she has done a pretty good job so far, but today I seriously came un-glued! when I opened the door I lost it, now I don't expect it to be clean and perfect, but this is just ridiculous, and frankly quite embarrassing. So I have no idea why I am posting this other than to let you all know that I had quite the day of organization ahead of me......

Okay, so you see what I mean! You can't even see the floor! Apparently she has just been throwing things in there and where they land is where they are! I had glanced at this the other day, but I swear it wasn't this bad.. So needless to say, I layed Acen down for a nap and we went to cleaning. Yes I say we because I wasn't about to just pick it all up alone!! She said she had no idea why it was so messy and that it wasn't her fault, but I really don't think Acen did this, and I know Shad and I didn't!! She was such a big helper tho and we got it all cleaned up and organized. She has a tower with bins (not that you can see it in this mess) and I told her whatever didn't fit in the bins we were throwing away.. So 2 hours and 3 garbage bags later, we were finished. Then I decided since we were doing this we would do her and Acen's room. We went through the closet, and the dresser. I took all Acen's clothes that no longer fit and all of hers, bagged them up and put them away.. Needless to say we got a lot done, and even tho it is 3:00 in the afternoon and we are still in our pj's, I feel alot better about things!! I hate the mess, but I love the end result!

Don't ya just love kids and the messes that they can make-SO FAST!!! I know how you feel, but it sounds like you got it tackled now.. Maybe since Gracie helped clean it, she will be more motivated to keep it clean.. I am with Sadie, you can come on down and tackle my house now!!! I love the new page and the picture of the kids on the top, Acen is getting so Big!!!
Hi there it is so good to hear from you your kids are adorable! Don't you just love it when they make messes like that? I go through the same routine with my boys I am a freak about things and everynight I make them clean their rooms spottless!! It was so good to hear from you I hope that you blog me often.
Okay, I think I feel the same about the cleaning thing. I would love to clean any other home than mine, but I do love a clean house. Sounds like you are doing spring cleaning. I need to do it too, thanks for reminding me. By the way I love the picture at the top of your blog, way cute!!!!

Want to do my toy room next? I'm laughing because so many times I've opened our toy room door & done exactly the same thing. I promise, it does get better as they get older though.
I am sick, because I LOVE days like that. Summer does too. We have lots of fun throwing out and organizing. I know, it's a disease!!!
